R&M Racing was started in October 2003 after my purchase of a Cameo White 1966 Pontiac GTO. This car was basically a survivor with one repaint. I have enjoyed wrenching and racing this car over the last 5 years. There have been many upgrades in my conquest for speed but feel that the car must be able to cruise on the highway too. A street/strip GTO serves the purpose. I will add photos and a complete profile in a future blog.
In May, I went to Milan to race with the Ford club. Low oil pressure put me on the trailer. The next day was our CFC annual car Show and I took the GTO there with no oil pressure issues. However, on the ride home, I stabbed the throttle a little and heard a ticking sound. This proved to be a spun rod bearing. Currently, the block is getting reworked at Engine Craft. I hope to have the Goat back on the road in mid July. Keep your fingers crossed. After that, it's on to Norwalk for the Pontiac Tri-Power Nationals.
